The pace trio of Shane Bond, Chris Martin and Iain O’Brien did most of the damage, picking 8 wickets between them.
Umar Akmal (75) was the only Pakistan batsman to put up any resistance, but without much help from the other batsmen, he was fighting a losing battle.Bond picked up the vital wicket of Umar and then left the rest to his captain Vettori, who mopped up the tail to take New Zealand to a thrilling victory.
