Noida policeman held for sexually assaulting two boys

An Uttar Pradesh Police constable was Wednesday arrested for sexually exploiting two young boys in Noida, police said.

The constable, identified as Gyan Singh, was on duty on a PCR van (Number 36) in Noida Feb 3 when he picked up the boys from the street and forced them to sit in the vehicle.
He then threatened to arrest them for theft of iron grills in a public park.

Saying that he would let them go only if they had sex with him, Gyan Singh forced himself upon the boys in sector 45.

Gyan Singh threatened the boys to keep quiet about the whole incident and dumped them on the road side. The boys, however, gathered courage and complained to senior officials.
A departmental probe was ordered and after investigations by the circle officer, the allegations came out to be true. Gyan Singh was arrested and sent to jail Wednesday, an official told IANS.

Police are also probing the role of the PCR van driver and another constable. Nothing had emerged so far on their complicity in the crime, the official added.

Last week, three Noida police constables were booked for kidnapping a Delhi youth and later demanding ransom.
