ATM theft bid: Cops clueless

The North East division police hope that their interaction with the staff of the Vijaya Bank’s Vidyanagar branch in Chikkajala on Monday would provide some vital information that can lead them to the suspects who attempted to burgle the bank’s ATM kiosk on Friday .

Although they suspect the involvement of security guard Annaiah who was on duty when the incident occurred, police concede that they do not have any evidence to indicate his involvement. 

A senior police officer told Deccan Herald that Annaiah would be interrogated further. Although there were two Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras at the kiosk, no burglar alarm at the ATM kiosk was installed.
