Dumped skeletal remains, ashes found

Two unidentified persons, who had come in a pick-up vehicle to a cremation ground, belonging to Kodava Samaja, have allegedly dumped two bags of skeletal remains and ashes into Kakke Hole (stream), creating anxiety among locals."

People noticed bones and ashes in the stream, behind the upgraded crematorium and informed the police. It is said that the public had noticed a four-member gang, which had come in a vehicle recently and had dumped two bags into the river, but did not give much importance to it. 

Somwarpet Circle Inspector Pradeep and station officer Ravi Kiran visited the spot. It was decided to send the half burnt bones to a forensic laboratory in Mysore. Only after the report is received, it would be ascertained whether it belongs to human beings.Police have begun a probe into missing cases in the surrounding areas.
