The most awaited day to celebrate love is finally here – February 14. And the cupid-struck are all set to surprise their loved ones with something special. As food is an integral part of any celebration, surprise your special someone this Valentine’s Day with an irresistible and scrumptious Valentine treat.

Begin the romantic evening with lip-smacking Valentine dishes and a glass of wine
at Ano Tai at Jaypee, Vasant Continental. Adding to the
excitement will be the candle-lit dinner table with a romantic theme, with some red roses along with heart-shaped red balloons.

Ashish Joshi, executive chef of Jaypee Siddharth spoke to Metrolife about their plans for V Day. “We have many things in heart shape. Like heart-shaped pastries, soup with dried strawberries cut in heart shape, etc. We will be having a three-course lunch menu and a mid-night menu too, which will be called ‘V Day last chance’. The decor will also be in red colour with balloons and lightings.”

Jaypee Siddharth will also start a ‘Cupid Service’ to make the loved ones feel special. This service includes sending personalised letters to the beloved with a flower
bouquet and chocolates.

One can also surprise their loved ones by taking them to Rara Avis, an authentic French Bistro known for its scrumptious French delicacy. If French is the language of love, what better cuisine can there be to express your love, other than French? With the ideal setting of candles and melodious French music and a special menu, Rara Avis can surely make the day unusual. Dive into your wicked cravings with dishes like Confit de Canard (preserved duck leg), Steak Tartare, Coq Au Vin (chicken in wine Sauce), Campagnarde (smoked chicken keuche) and a lot more.

For junk food lovers, Mocha can be a great option too. This Valentine, Mocha Coffee and Conversions will bring the special heart-shaped pizza to make the occasion much
tastier than ever.

If on one hand the City is mostly welcoming couples, there is one restaurant which will celebrate the day with ‘singles’. “This year ‘Single is Fun’ is the theme at our outlet. Most of the people celebrate Valentine’s with their spouses but we have created special packages for singles this time so that they shouldn’t feel left out,” said Sameer Bhalla, owner, Bellagio Restaurants.

Especially designed a-la-carte menu will be on offer along with wine and music playing in the background. One can savour the flavours of a variety of food like Jalapeno fish finger, Chicken skewer, Hash brown potatoes, Calamari Fritti and many more on
the list.

So, this Valentine’s Day go grab your favourite dish ‘with’ or ‘without’ your partner!
