<p>Social activist Anna Hazare today met Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee, amidst speculation that he will back the West Bengal Chief Minister as the Prime Ministerial candidate.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Senior leader and party general secretary Mukul Roy came to New Maharashtra Sadan, where Hazare has put up, to escort the anti-graft leader to his residence where the meeting between him and the West Bengal Chief Minister took place.<br /><br />However, Roy and Hazare refused to say what transpired at the meeting. A joint press conference is being planned tomorrow here to make the annoucement.<br /><br />Hazare has already indicated he might extend his support to Banerjee and may also campaign for her party in Lok Sabha elections.<br /><br />He had earlier written a letter to all parties that if they are willing to accept his 17-point agenda.<br /><br />"We feel proud that such a senior mass leader has hailed the leadership of Mamata Banerjee who had replied to his 17-point economic programme which is being incorporated in the party election manifesto," Roy had said when he met the anti-graft leader at his village in Ralegaon Siddi last week.<br /><br />Hazare had lauded West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for her simplicity while taking a jibe at AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal, saying some people take bungalows despite promising not to do so.</p>
