Environment awards

Sri Sharadamba Education and Rural Development Society School of Sirsi in Uttara Kannada district has bagged the first prize at Wonderla Environment and Energy Conservation Awards - 2013.

The second prize was won by Samhita Academy, Bangalore and Vagdevi Vilas School, Bangalore and the third prize by Jnana Deepa Senior Secondary School, Javalli, Shimoga; Delhi Public School, Bangalore and New Baldwin International School, Bangalore. A special award was given to Kaliyuva Mane, Mysore.

The awards are given annually by Wonderla to schools that have adopted the most innovative and effective practices to conserve and manage natural resources within their premises and to create awareness about the environment in young minds.
