<p> Former Maharashtra chief minister Shivajirao Patil-Nilangekar heaved a sigh of relief on Thursday after the CBI issued a clean to him in the Adarsh Housing Society scandal.<br /><br /></p>.<p>In an affidavit filed in the Bombay High Court, the investigating officer S S Giri stated that enquiry and scrutiny of available documentary evidence and laid down laws and rules indicates that there was no criminal misconduct on part of Patil-Nilangekar.<br /><br />Thus the affidavit argued that the agency has decided not to include Nilangekar and others as accused in the charge sheet as demanded by social activist Pravin Wategaonkar.<br /><br />Wategaonkar told media that while he has withdrawn his application of 2013, he has decided to approach the trial court.</p>
