Armed men rob businessman of valuables

A group of six armed men robbed a businessman of his valuables when he was returning home with his friend on Sunday night.

The victim, Babu Reddy and his friend Muniraju had stopped their car near ISRO compound in Doddanekkundi to relieve themselves, when six men on three motorcycles attacked them. 

While three of them dragged Muniraju from the car, the other three, armed with lethal weapons, overpowered Babu Reddy and tried to snatch his gold valuables. When Reddy tried to resist , the gang assaulted him and fled the scene after snatching a bracelet, two rings, two chains and Rs 21,000 in cash from him. 

The duo managed to reach a nearby hospital for treatment and later informed the police. The HAL police have taken up a robbery case.

Prostitution racket busted

The Central Crime Branch attached to the City police has arrested four men for running a prostitution racket and have successfully rescued three girls. 

The arrested have been identified as Shivakumar, 33, Rajiv, 25, Deeepak, 32 and Nagaraj, 25. A sum of Rs 5,000 in cash and four mobile phones were seized from them.Police said that the suspects used to lure girls from different states promising them jobs in City, and force them into flesh trade later.
