From March 1 onwards, you will have to pay more for safari, zoo and butterfly park visits at the Bannerghatta Biological Park (BBP).

The decision to hike the entry fee was taken at the 125th governing council meeting of the Zoo Authority of Karnataka, considering the increasing expenditures, fuel costs and food expenses for animals, BBP Executive Director, Range Gowda, told Deccan Herald.

While the rates have been revised, the area covered during the safari has also been increased. Besides, according to zoo officials, more animals are being brought so the new rate gives exposure to more animals. The fare for the air-conditioned bus grand safari remains unchanged at Rs 500 per head.
