The fibre pipes, meant for water supply, are laid in open drains. The residents have been depending on three open wells. However, it may go dry by the end of March.

The  women carrying pots in search of water, is a normal scene in the village.Villagers have time and again urged the Gram Panchayat to mitigate the shortage of water at the earliest.

Ex-servicemen Billerikuttada Prabhu said “Jodubeeti village is situated on the main road leading to Ponnampet and Gonikoppa. Water is not supplied to the overhead tank to be distributed among villagers. As a result, the villagers are forced to go in search of water.”

Village head Thoochakuttada Acchappa said “there is acute shortage of water during summer. The gram panchayat should initiate measures to supply water to its residents.”
