<p>The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) has proposed to provide dialysis units free of cost to private hospitals that have promised to offer free dialysis services.<br /><br /></p>.<p>“The statutory framework of the BDA provides for extending help and rendering social service. Even before this, we have helped a lot of people. This time, we have been instructed to assist hospitals. Select hospitals would be given two dialysis units each,” said T Sham Bhatt, Commissioner, BDA. <br /><br />The civic agency has instructed its executive engineers to make a list of hospitals actively involved in social service and charity. However, the companies from which the equipment would be purchased are yet to be finalised.<br /><br />The BDA would also extend financial support to Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital, Jayadeva Hospital and Kidwai Memorial Institute, for purchase of equipment.</p>
