<p> Two days after his key aide and Rajya Sabha member Ram Kripal Yadav deserted Lalu Prasad, one more leader from the Rashtriya Janata Dal and a former party leader joined the Janata Dal (U) here on Sunday.<br /><br /></p>.<p>This included former Union minister Devendra Prasad Yadav, who was a close aide of Lalu quite sometime back. Leader of the RJD Legislature Party in the Legislative Council Ghulam Gaus. <br />Yadav and Gaus, supposed to be close associates of Lalu, were unhappy over the ticket distribution and their marginalisation.<br /><br />“Lalu is now promoting only those who are indulging in sycophancy,” said Gaus, shortly after he had a one-to-one meeting with the JD(U) strongman Nitish Kumar, who, later in the day, left for New Delhi to finalise tickets for 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar. <br /><br />The JD(U) got a shot in the arm when former joint director of the CBI, N K Singh too joined the party.<br /><br />Meanwhile, resentment prevails within the JD(U) over ‘borrowing’ players from outside. Senior party leader Narendra Singh on Sunday questioned Nitish whether he had lost faith in his own partymen. </p>
