Vibrant collection

The launch of the ‘Spring Summer ’14 Collection’ of Central, held at the Jayanagar Central, made heads turn as the models presented vibrant hues,
gorgeous silhouettes with a fresh approach to fashion.

The collection, which was unveiled by actress Sameera Reddy, has more than 1,000 national and international brands available under one roof in the Central stores.
From bold solids, effervescent neons, summery pastels, psychedelic tribal and digital prints to funky accessories, the collection reflects the mood of summer.

Different types of fabric such as lace, cottons, chiffons etc have been used to enhance the look and feel of the collection. Brands like Biba, Forever New, AND, Vero Moda, Latin Quarters, Remanika, Fusion Beats, Desi Belle, Mohr, Rangmanch etc showcased their collection on the ramp.

The show saw the models sporting stylish outfits and walking the ramp. Dresses are quite in fashion this season. From sheath and shift maxis to summer and cocktail dresses, the collection showcased a wide variety of dresses for those who want to keep it stylish. 

Different types of pants, which were a hit in the seventies, are back this season. Palazzos, harem pants and patialas in different colours and prints added variety to the collection. Jitendrnath Patri, the marketing head of Central and Brand Factory, says that the ‘Spring Summer’ 14 Collection’ has been assembled from some of the latest trends around the globe.


“These trends and styles have been put together by partnering with the best national and international brands. Central offers a wide and vibrant collection and we aim to make fresh fashion available to our customers. This season is all about being stylish,” he says. Sameera Reddy, who launched the collection, says that the collection has a great combination of bright colours and beautiful drapes. “Bangalore has evolved in terms of fashion. Gone are the days when people in the City stuck to traditional attire,” she notes.
