DSS members want better deal

Their demands included, measures against the irregularities in distribution of ration cards, equal distribution of  food grains, conversion of gomala attached to the dalits colony into sites, 22 per cent of money should be appropriately distributed and under take development works in this money.

Illegal sales of illicit liquor in the rural areas should be stopped. The dues of the cultivation deeds should be immediately distributed among the dalits, steps against the irregularities in the district hospital should also be taken, they demanded.

Raj kaluve encroached in the rural and urban areas should be evacuated. Title deeds for those who are living in huts in Kalavar village should be given, the encroached areas of the burial grounds and the lakes in Bandihalli, Milappanahalli, Timmanahalli villages in Nandi hobli, was also included in theirs demands list.

They shouted slogans against government and officers. Later  a memorandum was submitted to tahsildar.  Leaders D V Narayanaswamy, Y Narasimhappa, Kaddilu Venkataramanappa, M Venkteshappa, D V Venktaramanappa, G Shivappa, P Venkatesh, Srinivas, Kanakadas, Erachinappa, Munireddy, Venkatesh, Muni Anjinappa and others led the protest.
