Advocate-General (AG) of Karnataka, Ravivarma Kumar, who had submitted his resignation to his post on March 17, has decided to reconsider his resignation. It is learnt that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had refused to accept his resignation.

Sources in the High Court said that Kumar had reconsidered his resignation after Siddaramaiah and Law Minister T B Jayachandra met him on Tuesday afternoon and held a discussion.

According to sources close to the Advocate General, the chief minister and the law minister after a long discussion convinced him to reconsider his decision. Kumar was miffed with the State government’s decision to appoint advocates to the river water disputes of Krishna, Cauvery and Mahadayi.

However, Siddaramaiah and Jayachandra told Kumar that appointments made without consulting him, had been withdrawn.
