Six sand filter units raided

A team comprising tahsildar and officers of Mines and Geology Department took into custody a lorry which was ready for transporting sand. As many as six sand filter units - one in Gudipalli, four in Doddaattipalli and one in Thammareddyhalli - were seized. Engine and pipes which were being used for filtering were destroyed.

Tahsildar Jayamadhava, Mines and Geology Department officials H Hanumanthappa and Krishnappa, Byrakur Revenue Inspector Venkatesh and others took part in the raids.
