Last Updated 21 March 2014, 19:56 IST

Hoping that the new government at the Centre post elections will extend a hand of friendship to Pakistan and hold dialogue with all stakeholders including the Hurriyat to resolve the Kashmir issue, opposition Peoples Democratic Party patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed Friday said there is a trust deficit between Jammu and Kashmir and the rest of the country.

He said the NDA government led by Atal Bihari Vajpayee had taken several good initiatives to address the problems of the state which were carried forward during the early years of the UPA government.
