Kavita said that the intruders threatened to kill her if she raised an alarm.

In another incident, valuables worth Rs 10 lakh were burgled from a locked jewellery shop near Sarakki Gate in the early hours of Saturday.

Police said that the burglars gained entry into the shop of Mahaveer Bankers and Jewellers by cutting the grill of the ventilator. The theft came to light when Bhairolal, the proprietor, opened the shop on Saturday morning. The intruders had disconnected the wires of the CCTV cameras and hence no footage had been recorded.

The KS Layout police have registered cases in connection with both the incidents.
