<p>A rowdy was hacked to death in Padmanabhanagar, Banashankari police limits on Sunday evening. According to police, Naveen alias Suri, 30, a resident of Cottonpet, was killed at his friend’s house at around 4.30 pm.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Police said Thoppu Raja, a resident of Padmanabhanagar and a friend of Naveen, invited him to his place for a drink. Naveen had carried liquor to Raja’s house.<br /><br />Later that night, they had a heated argument which took a violent turn when Raja took an iron rod and struck Naveen on his head. Naveen started bleeding profusely and Raja fled the spot.<br /><br />Hearing Naveen’s screams, the neighbours rushed to Raja’s house and found Naveen lying in a pool of blood and he had succumbed to his injuries.<br /><br />A senior police officer said, “Naveen was a prime suspect in the murder of rowdy Gupendra and Raja was sent to jail on the charge of murdering his wife in 2009. He was released on bail recently.”<br /><br />Police have registered a case and are on the lookout for Raja.<br /></p>
