Puneeth, Poojitha win titles

Puneeth had to ward off a stiff challenge from sub-junior champion Shreyal Telang in the final. Puneeth, who lost the first game, came back strongly to beat Shreyal 12-14, 11-8, 11-9 , 9-11, 11-7, 11-5.

The corresponding girls’ title was won by N Poojitha, who scored a convincing 11-9, 7-11, 13-11, 11-6, 11-6 win over Subashree in the summit clash on Friday.

Jagadish Bidar scored a convincing straight games victory over Varun Shastry to claim the  Non-medallists title. Bidar took the first game 11-7, before wrapping up a 11-9, 11-5 win.
