<p>A software that compiles data of children across the State ‘Our Child Our Progress,’ was launched by Karnataka State Commission for Protection of Child Rights Chairperson Umesh Aradhya, recently. <br /><br /></p>.<p>The child-tracking software, jointly developed by Child Rights Trust (CRT), an NGO, in association with Every Child and Hooduku IT Solutions, will compile age-wise details of children up to 18 years, including their religion, caste and disability. Aradhya said: “This is a very good initiative which will surely help the cause of children. However, we should ensure that data will not be accessible to wrong hands,” he said. <br /><br />CRT Executive Director Vasudeva Sharma said the software would supplement the softwares being used by the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyaan, Department of Women and Child and Health department.<br /><br />Felicitation<br /><br />In another programme, the RTE Task Force felicitated principals of two schools and a parent for their involvement in enforcement of the Right to Education (RTE) Act. They are Principals of MM School in Tasker Town and Prakriti Vidyaniketan Public School in Hoskerahalli and C Suresh Kumar, a resident of Jayanagar.</p>
