<p>Jayciana, the annual event of Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE) is back, guaranteeing entertainment through a melange of events.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The highlight of the event is the maiden performance of Akcent, the internationally renowned band, making it special for SJCE in its golden jubilee year.<br /><br />Addressing the media here on Thursday, the office-bearers of Students Council of SJCE said, the fest would begin on April 5 with a dance competition on the college premises at 6.30 pm. Sandalwood actor Vijay Raghavendra will be part of the jury.<br /><br />It will be followed by a dance performance by Abhinava Dance Company of Nirupama-Rajendra. Another popular singer Shankar Mahadevan and his troupe will render non-stop music on April 6. ‘Miss Jayciana 2014’ will be held on April 7.<br /><br />It has been conceptualised by fashion icon Prasad Bidappa. Apart from judging the contest, Bidappa and his team of models will showcase their ethnic collection.<br /><br />The highlight of the three-day fest is the performance by renowned international band Akcent.<br /><br />This is for the first time that the foreign troupe, known for its English and Spanish chartbusters, will be performing in the city.</p>
