JOIN USJayciana, the annual event of Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE) is back, guaranteeing entertainment through a melange of events.
The highlight of the event is the maiden performance of Akcent, the internationally renowned band, making it special for SJCE in its golden jubilee year.
Addressing the media here on Thursday, the office-bearers of Students Council of SJCE said, the fest would begin on April 5 with a dance competition on the college premises at 6.30 pm. Sandalwood actor Vijay Raghavendra will be part of the jury.
It will be followed by a dance performance by Abhinava Dance Company of Nirupama-Rajendra. Another popular singer Shankar Mahadevan and his troupe will render non-stop music on April 6. ‘Miss Jayciana 2014’ will be held on April 7.
It has been conceptualised by fashion icon Prasad Bidappa. Apart from judging the contest, Bidappa and his team of models will showcase their ethnic collection.
The highlight of the three-day fest is the performance by renowned international band Akcent.
This is for the first time that the foreign troupe, known for its English and Spanish chartbusters, will be performing in the city.
