'Star tortoise': 2 held

The arrested are Mohammed Masoor (20) and Puttu Monu (34), both daily-wage labourers. Said to be valued at around Rs 5 lakh in international market, the duo were trying to sell the same for Rs 2 lakh near Polali arch. The police team lead by PSI Prakash nabbed them acting on a tip off.

Boat sinks

A fishing boat while returning to the port sank near estuary. However, all five fishermen in the boat have been rescued by fishermen in other boats.
