Responding to an appeal by the Public Works Department Superintending Engineer B S Balakrishna, the minister said the vacancies in the department would be filled soon.
Balakrishna said the Mangalore Circle of PWD has only 60 per cent of staff (54 instead of 84) which has been hindering the progress of works in the region.
