The body of martyr Srikanth Madagi, who fell to the bullets fired from across the border on Thursday evening, arrived on Saturday and has been kept at the Command Hospital

Srikanth Madagi, son of Chandraprakash Madagi, Superintendent of Karnataka State Karnataka State Police (Wireless division), was shot dead by Pakistani soldiers from across the border near Ludhiana on Thursday evening.

Srikanth had joined the Indian Air Force a couple of years ago. He had finished his flight lieutenant course six months ago and was posted in the Ludhiana base.

Chandraprakash said, “Our elder son Sridhar is working in Japan and we are expecting him on Sunday morning. We would perform the final rites after his arrival. Srikanth had spoken to his mother Chayavathi before being shot by bullets,” his father added.
