A 24-year-old man from Maddur, Mandya district, has been arrested for sexually harassing a morning walker in J P Nagar 4th Phase last week.
Venkataramu, the suspect who resides in Bilekahalli, rode a bike and waylaid the woman who was taking a morning walk around 8.30 am on April 3. He shoved and tried to molest her, the police said, quoting the complainant.
The woman screamed for help but by the time passersby rushed to catch him, Venkataramu sped off. She made a complaint to the police the same day and gave them the registration number of the suspect’s bike, which she managed to note down. Police arrested him in Maddur on Wednesday.
