The Supreme Court will consider on April 16 a plea by Board of Control for Cricket in India seeking audio transcripts of the statements made by team India captain M S Dhoni and ousted BCCI president N Srinivasan before the Mudgal panel.
A bench of justices A K Patnaik and K S Khehar refused to pass an immediate order on the application after a counsel representing Justice Mukul Mudgal panel submitted that only minutes of the meeting and not audio recordings of the statements were provided to the court.
Senior advocate C A Sundaram, representing BCCI, said, “We should be provided a copy of the statements made by Dhoni, Srinivasan and Sundar Rajan before that panel.”
It was earlier claimed that Gurunath Meiyappan was merely a cricket enthusiast.
The cricket board, however, claimed that Dhoni had made no such statement.
