Telugu film actor and founder of Jana Sena Party in Andhra Pradesh, Pawan Kalyan will participate in BJP roadshows in some reserved constituencies in Karnataka, according to a press release.
The decision of Kalyan – brother of Andhra Pradesh Congress Campaign Committee chief and actor K Chiranjeevi – to canvass for the BJP candidates was taken after Andhra Pradesh BJP chief Kishan Reddy and a few representatives of prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi met him at his office and requested him to campaign for the BJP.
“The party leadership has decided to go ahead and participate in canvassing in Karnataka only after sensitive issues such as caste and religion had been discussed,” the release said.
As per the schedule, Kalyan will campaign in Kolar (SC) for M Narayanaswamy, in Raichur (ST) for Shivanagouda Naik, and in Gulbarga (SC) for Revu Naik Belamagi.
