Dhananjaya takes charge

Speaking to reporters in Bangalore after taking charge from incumbent Subhash Bharani, Dhananjaya Kumar said he would also take up projects in the state pending before the Union government.

Earlier, a visibly upset Bharani handed over charge to Dhananjaya Kumar. Bharani said he had worked sincerely and discharged his responsibility during the last 10 months. However, he was pained by reports that he was being removed for non-performance. “One should not judge a person’s capabilities by his birth,” he said. Bharani said he would take charge as chairman of Karnataka Sericulture Industries Corporation on May 25.
