<p>A 20-year-old has been arrested for robberies, including that of a Thailand-national, in outer Delhi over the last two months. <br /><br /></p>.<p>The arrested man Ankit has told police that he took to robbing people after his family broke all contacts with him for marrying a girl from another caste. To bear the increased expenses that a married life brought with itself, the regular grade four employee resorted to robbing people.<br /><br />Ankit was identified after using an ATM card that he had robbed from a foreigner at gun-point with two other associates on March 10 at Alipur. They had robbed him of his i-phone and withdrawn Rs 42,000 from his account from ATM booths in the area.<br /><br />He soon applied for anticipatory bail with a court after being identified. He had also applied for surrender, but had failed to appear before the court. This prompted police to launch a search for him once again.<br /><br />Meanwhile, police learnt on April 21 that he was roaming around in outer Delhi on a motorcycle. A trap was laid and he was soon nabbed.<br /><br />During interrogation he revealed he was involved in yet another robbery with his associates in Narela area a week prior to his arrest. The robbed motorcycle of the second victim - a milk dairy owner - and the phone of the foreign national have been recovered. <br /><br />Search is on for his associates and police are verifying if the gang committed more robberies.<br /></p>
