Mescom urged to withdraw notice

 
Ashok stated in a press release that farmers would hold a protest in front of the Mescom Office, if demand notices were not withdrawn. He alleged that the Mescom officials have served notices to farmers without any government directive. Officials do not consider coffee growers as farmers, even though there is no official communication in this regard, he added.  
Previous government had announced waiver of bills for irrigation pumpsets upto 10 HP capacity. Similarly, the BJP government too have announced free electricity connection to pumpsets upto 10 HP.
