Youth hacked to death

A  youth was hacked to death by a gang of seven on Wednesday night in Kamakshipalya police limits.

The victim was identified as Sadique Pasha, 30, a resident of Gangondanahalli in Chandra Layout.

According to the police, the murder took place around 7 pm when he was returning from his tools shop in Chennappa Industrial Estate in Kamakshipalya on a bike.  

The suspects accosted him near Sumanahalli bridge and pushed him off the bike.

They hacked him to death with lethal weapons, threw the body in a nearby drainage and fled, police added.

Property dispute

On being alerted, the police rushed to the spot, retrieved the body and sent it for post mortem. Old rivalry and dispute with family members regarding a property ended in the murder, police said.

Pasha was married and had a son. 

He was staying with his family members in Dubai Layout in KG Halli, the police added.

In a complaint, Pasha’s mother-in-law Fathima has alleged that his eldest sister and brothers were behind the murder.

Pasha had dispute with his eldest sister and brothers regarding a piece of land.

Pasha parted ways with his family members, shifted to Gangondanahalli where his mother-in-law stays, added the police.

Illegal road hump

An illegal road hump proved fatal for a homemaker in Electronics City traffic police limits.
Sujatha was travelling pillion on the bike her husband Prakash was riding.

The latter did not notice an illegal road hump constructed by a private company in front of its office and applied brakes suddenly.

Sujatha fell down from the bike and sustained severe injuries.

She was taken to a nearby hospital where the doctors declared her dead on arrival, police said.

A case has been registered against the company which laid the hump without obtaining the necessary permission from the authorities concerned.
