<p>The BJP IT and Communication cell in the State, which intensely engaged in the campaigning for the Lok Sabha elections, will remain active for the next few more months, with a hope that it can further be involved in executing government’s initiatives if the NDA comes to power.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The IT cell on Saturday hosted an interactive session for its volunteers, who are directly attached to the party, and the leaders. The cell, which was more active than similar wing of other parties except that of Aam Aadmi Party, has majority of its volunteers from multinational software companies in the State.<br /><br />According to the BJP’s estimate, more than 5,000 volunteers across the State took leave from work to take part in campaigning.<br /><br />BJP spokesperson Suresh Kumar said that the party was planning to keep the IT cell active to involve it in future governance initiatives the party plans to take up in the State.<br /><br />Convenor of the IT and Communication cell Channa Mallikarjuna said that the volunteers have already taken primary membership of the BJP. “The volunteers, who are on an average 27-year-old, will be members of the party.<br /><br />We want them to bring fresh blood into the BJP. With no family ties in politics, nor having any money power, the volunteers may in future become leaders of the BJP,” he said. However, the NaMo Brigade, a similar group of individuals who came together to campaign for the party’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, will be dissolved.</p>
