The UGET was held between 10 am and 1 pm for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and between 2.30 pm and 4.30 pm for Biology and English.

This year, the COMEDK has seen an increase in the number of applicants, especially for medical courses. As many as 96,100 candidates had registered for Sunday’s entrance exam.

The test, which is open to all India candidates, is held for admission to 14 medical, 25 dental and 160 engineering colleges in the State. There are 835 medical, 750 dental and 18,000 engineering seats.

According to statistics with the COMEDK, 31,649 students wrote the test for engineering streams as against 38,295 candidates who had applied. For medical, as against the 45,235 candidates who had applied, 35,167 appeared for the exam.

There were 12,507 who applied for both engineering and medical, but only 9,919 wrote the test. The COMEDK conducted the exam in 134 centres across the State.

According to an official release from the COMEDK, there was a lone case of impersonation at one of the test centres, Vijaya Pre-University College in the City. A police complaint has been lodged by the chief superintendent in this regard.

The COMEDK will upload the provisional answer keys on www.comedk.org. The rank list will be announced on June 4.
