Bowl Out’, an event where members of the Royal Challengers Bangalore team gave an opportunity to their fans to ‘bowl them out’, was held at Garuda Mall.

The event was organised by Kingfisher.

Ten out of 15 lucky participants registered online. Five participants were chosen on the spot from the crowd present at the mall. The members of the crowd were anything but sober and complacent, each trying to gain attention to be given the golden opportunity to play with their idols.

One of the winners, Vijay said, “I came here to meet the players and I am glad I got to meet them.” The cricketers seemed to be having a blast as well.

“I think it was great to connect with the Bangalore crowd. They have been very supportive,” said Parthiv Patel as Varun Aaron cheekily added, “I trust my batting skills more now.”

The event witnessed a large gathering and chants of “RCB! RCB!” echoed throughout the mall. “You can’t get such a crowd anywhere else in the world like the crowd you get in India,” said Albie Morkel.

A die-hard cricket fan Arun Kumar had the opportunity to bowl to Varun Aaron. On his experience he said, “It’s awesome. They’re world class players and I’m a galli cricketer.”

Gayathri from Mysore attended the event so that her son could see the players close-up. She was one of the lucky female contests to take part in the event. Tearing up she said,

“I am very happy. I still can’t believe this has happened. I am so happy that my son is happy.” She was one of the lucky few to get chosen from the crowd and had the chance to bowl to Albie Morkel. The event had three winners; Mohammed Hyder, Vijay and Shariq. The three of them won a cash prize of Rs 10,000 each.

On his victory, Mohammed Hyder said, “I am extremely happy right now. I bowled to Parthiv Patel. I won a cash prize of Rs 10,000 after I bowled him out on the second.” The event has been taking place across the nation.
