MEG went on a goal rush as they defeated RWF 5-1 in their BDFA Super Division match at the Bangalore Football Stadium here on Tuesday.

Girish (13th, 41st) and Dipan Thapa (15th, 28th) both scored braces in the first-half to set MEG on their way to a comfortable victory. Hamar completed the scoring in the 54th minute from a corner after keeper Rajeev Singh fumbled.

Satish Kumar got a consolation for RWF from the penalty spot in the 37th minute.
MEG opened the scoring through Girish following a delivery into the box from a Hamar free-kick. In the hunt for more goals against a lacklustre RWF outfit, Ramu set up the second after good wing play before crossing for Thapa to convert from close range. Further goals from Thapa, Girish and Hamar embellished MEG’s superiority.

RWF also had Sugandhar sent off in the 85th minute for a tackle on Girish.
Results: A Division: Bangalore Individuals: 2 (Deepak 17th, 33rd) drew with SAI: 2 (Sudarshan 23rd, Saroj Roy 27th).
