The ‘Garden of Getshemane,’ one of its kind in the coastal region, includes a ‘giant holy hill’ (12th station).
In fact, a large number of people were seen offering prayers on Friday.
In their messages, Baraipur (Kolkatta) Diocese Bishop Most Rev Dr Salvadore Lobo and Gulbarga Diocese Bishop Most Rev Dr Robert Miranda called upon the people to spread the message of love and peace.
A large number of devotees took part in the celebrations which included a grand procession from the church premises to Kalpane and back, held as a part of the death anniversary celebrations.
Before the mass, contractors, benefactors and donors who hadcontributed to the construction of the Garden of Gethsemane were honoured by the Bishops.
