CRPF woman constable killed in accident

A 22-year-old CRPF woman constable was killed when she fell from a motorcycle in CRPF’s Jharoda Kalan campus in south west Delhi on Friday, police said. The deceased has been identified as Anamika. 

According to police, they were informed by authorities of CRPF Camp Hospital at around 8.55 pm.

‘Fell from motorcycle’

“A team of local police visited the hospital where we were told that the injured woman was posted as a constable with the CRPF,” a Delhi Police officer said. “It is claimed that she fell from her motorcycle near VIP Hut in the CRPF campus,” the police officer added. She was brought to the hospital by a colleague, Jyoti, a woman constable.

As her condition deteriorated, Anamika was later referred to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital. 

“She was, however, brought dead at the hospital,” the officer added. The police team recovered a Hero Splendor motorcycle from the spot, but no eyewitnesses were found.A case of rash driving and causing death by negligence has been registered with Baba Haridas Nagar police station.
