Youth mowed down by a speeding lorry

 
Police said Raghavendra (21), residing in Don Bosch Hostel, was returning to the hostel when a speeding truck ran over him and killed him on the spot. Police have registered a hit and run case.

Two arrested

Police arrested two persons and recovered snatched gold chains and other valuables worth Rs one lakh and a bike from them in Jeevanbimanagar on Thursday.

Saleem Khan (25) and Javed Pasha (22), both residents of Islampur, HAL, were reportedly involved in various chain snatching and house burglary incidents in the area.

With these two arrests, one case each of chain snatching, house burglary and vehicle lifting have been solved, the police said.
