<p>Around 30 members of the Indian Adventure Academy kickstarted their bike rally on Wednesday, ahead of the World Environment Day.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The rally was flagged off by Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) Vinay Luthra. <br /><br />The bikers will travel over 2,000 km, covering Tamil Nadu and Kerala. <br /><br />They will spread the message of ‘Saving the environment’ and create awareness among the people. <br /><br />Seventysix-year-old V Krishnaiah, one of the bikers, is participating for the first time. <br /><br />He said he loved forests and wildlife and was participating in the rally to educate people about conservation.<br /><br />Painting contest<br /><br />The Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB), in association with the Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, on Wednesday organised a state-level essay writing and painting competition for students at Bal Bhavan in Cubbon Park to mark World Environment Day.<br /></p>
