Bengaluru Habba festivities continue

The Children’s Film Festival continued with movies like ‘Ennondu Mukha’, ‘Dost Maggarmachh’ and ‘Lukka Chuppi’ entertaining a houseful audience.

The Jazz Evenings that began on Friday saw notable artists like the Gerard Machado Network, a Bangalore-based band and another international band, The Moon Arra perform and enthrall the crowd.  The two bands also performed some Indian classical music. The spirit of jazz continued through Saturday with the Chennai trio Maarten Visser presenting their signature sound-based music.

Dana Gillespie and The London Blues Band performed on Sunday to enthrall the Bangalore crowd. Along with them, Interplay from Delhi also hit the stage with a staggering performance giving the crowd a mix of various genres of jazz be it mainstream, contemporary or R&B classics.

Along with the jazz nights the Indian Art Trail was also inaugurated at the Apparo Galleries at UB city. This is a visual art display that involves display of paintings, sculptures, photographs and drawings along with contemporary art in galleries around the city.

Over 150 works of more than 70 artists are being displayed. The works of Rabindranath Tagore and MF Hussain are also on display at the gallery. Apart from this the Crafts mela and theatre workshops will continue through the next week.
