It is essential that we work towards maintaining a healthy liver. Thankfully, we have herbs that help in cleansing and proper functioning of the liver:

Indian Gooseberry (Amalaki)

One of the most popular medicinal herbs in ayurveda, the Indian
gooseberry or amla is one of the richest natural sources of vitamin C. Its
anti-oxidant properties support and maintain liver health.

Indian Tinospora (Guduchi)

Indian Tinospora or Guduchi is consumed for its ability to remove toxins from the liver, thereby strengthening and protecting the liver. Guduchi also helps in fighting stress, building immunity and treating arthritis and other inflammatory joint conditions.

Caper Bush (Himsra)

This herb has the ability to protect the liver against free radical damage
induced by various toxins, including hepatotoxic drugs. Caper Bush also helps in modulating immunity and overcoming inflammatory conditions.

Chicory (Kasani)

The polyphenolic compounds found in chicory seeds help in protecting liver cells by neutralising free radicals and rejuvenating the liver tissues. Chicory also has the ability to prevent damage induced by improper fat deposition in the liver.

Eclipta Alba (Bringaraj)

The phytochemical present in this herb helps to fight hepatitis-causing virus, and reduce inflammation in the liver cells. The potent antioxidant, anti-diabetic and lipid-lowering properties of the herb help in keeping the liver healthy.
