The two accused charged with the abetment of suicide of Zilla Panchayat Junior Engineer Suresh, were sent to police custody for two days for interrogation by the Additional Civil Court here on Thursday.
The accused—Sardar, a gram panchayat member from Kurattihosuru in Kollegala taluk and Vyramanickyam, panchayat development officer of the same village, were presented before the court where the police had sought their custody for three days.
Judge Parameshwar who heard the matter sent the accused to two-day custody.
Sardar and Vyramanickyam were arrested from Valangur in Salem district in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday.
