Khader meets infant's parents

Minister for Health U T Khader visited Hassan on Wednesday night and met the parents of the two-month-old infant, who died due to alleged medical negligence in a private hospital a couple of days ago.

He met the deputy commissioner and the officials of the Health Department and sought details of the incident.

Later on, speaking with mediapersons, the minister said that though he had no powers to announce compensation to the family, a detailed probe will be held by the Department of Medical Education in the incident. The police were also conducting a separate inquiry. Suitable action will be taken after receiving the reports, he added. Khader also visited the Government Hospital and inspected the mortuary.
