The Congress' much-awaited revamp is expected next month, soon after the A K Antony-led informal group submits its report on the party’s rout in the Lok Sabha elections to AICC president Sonia Gandhi.

The Antony panel, which also has Mukul Wasnik, Avinash Pande and R C Khuntia as members, has been meeting a cross-section of party leaders to understand the reasons for the poll debacle.

On Saturday, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh leaders are likely to meet the Antony panel to give the reasons for the electoral loss and plan to revive the party organisation.

Congress general secretaries are also carrying out a separate analysis of the defeat.

Digvijay Singh is expected to hold a two-day meet with leaders from Karnataka in Bangalore on Saturday. Congress leaders from Karnataka are expected to meet the Antony panel next week.

A senior Congress leader said the Antony panel was expected to submit its report to the party president on July 6.
