Kodavas to protest in Delhi

To save the Kodava minorities, the Centre should grant autonomous region status to Kodagu on the lines of the Gorkha Hill Council as this would ensure financial security, physical and constitutional protection to the Kodava race, CNC president N U Nachappa Codava told reporters here. This would also help in the overall development of Kodagu, he added.

He said his organisation would demand ethnic, linguistic minority tribal status for Kodavas under Article 340 and 342.
