“I don’t see any reason to expand the Cabinet now. The differences in the State BJP are addressed and we stand united,” he informed the media here on Thursday.

Reacting to the State JD(S) President H D Kumaraswamy’s statement on the ‘sweet news’ regarding the formation of a Congress-JD(S) government in the State, the chief minister said JD(S) supremo H D Deve Gowda has spoken high about the performance of BJP-led government in the State. Deve Gowda’s statements reflects that the State government is stable. Even the Congress does not intend to form the government in the State, he added.

When quizzed on the meeting of BJP legislators convened by MLA M P Renukacharya recently, he said, “may be Renukacharya is one of the aspirants for a ministerial berth, but he should wait.”

CM expressed confidence that BJP would win maximum number of seats in the MLC election. Elected members of local bodies will teach a lesson to the Opposition parties which are engaged in negative politics, he stated.

BJP is involved in a direct fight with the Congress-JD(S), as the two parties have reached a pre-poll pact. A triangular fight would have benefited BJP, even otherwise the party will perform well. The CM predicted that the alliance between the Congress and JD(S) may continue in the future too.
