JOIN USThe Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce (BCIC) on Thursday termed the Union Budget presented by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley as a “balanced and visionary budget that will boost the macro economics of the country, with specific emphasis on the development of core sectors.
BCIC President A N Chandramouli said, “The hallmark of the Finance Minister’s presentation was a promise of containing fiscal deficit for 2015-16 at 3.6 per cent and 3 per cent for 2016-17.”
He said that the Budget had many policy oriented announcements and targets for the infrastructure, public sector, defence, manufacturing sector, finance and capital market reforms, agriculture sector and investment on science and technology and education, “which we believe will spur all round economic growth and set the right tone for the next five years”.
