The hunt for the best voices

The seventh season of the singing talent hunt show, ‘Voice of Bangalore’ was held in the City recently.

The event saw some fresh talent participating. What added to the charm of the event was the presence of Sandalwood actor Yash who graced the occasion and even performed for a full house.

The event also had dancing sensation Disha Madan perform with the stars.
The event served as a perfect platform for budding talents to interact with the who’s who of the Kannada film industry.

They not only got a chance to interact with the people from the industry but also learn more about the functioning of the same.

Playback singer Rajesh Krishnan, the brand ambassador for ‘Voice of Bangalore’, was also present on the occasion.

Winners of Season 6 of ‘Voice of Bangalore’, Vijeth and Jinsha sang a medley of old and new Hindi and Kannada songs.

The auditions for the contest are being held at Sri Krishna College campus from July 15 onwards.

Other venues include SJR Women’s College, PES College, Garuda Mall and venues at Mandya, Mysore and Tumkur.

The auditions will be conducted over 90 days and selected contestants will be trained by singer Rajesh Krishnan.

In two separate quarter-finals, to be held at Garuda Mall, eight male and eight female contestants will be selected for the semi-finals.

Of these five, each will be selected for the semi-finals. In the final round, three male and female singers will be selected.

The winners, male and female, of the final rounds will be crowned, ‘Voice of Bangalore’ besides being presented with a car. ‘Voice of Bangalore’, which commenced in 2007 has witnessed more than 45,000 singers auditioning on stage over the last six seasons.

The winners of the previous seasons have made their mark as singers in the film industry.
